Luke Taylor MP visits Specsavers

Luke Taylor MP has visited Specsavers Sutton to see how its experts deliver hearing and eye care in the community - supporting the NHS.
The MP for Sutton and Cheam spoke to the team about the NHS services provided by the locally owned and run store in Sutton High Street.
During the course of his visit, Luke Taylor MP also heard how Specsavers is ready and able to support NHS commissioners to deliver improved access to community hearing and eye care - and was briefed on the work they do to expand access to earwax removal.
‘It was a pleasure to learn more about how Specsavers Sutton is looking after the local community’s health and supporting the high street, providing valuable jobs in health and retail care.
‘I was also interested to hear how Specsavers can help the NHS deliver more consistent community eye and audiology services. The team explained that such services would bring care closer to home for local people and ease pressures on NHS hospitals.’
‘I was very impressed with the in-store training, development and mentoring including the Specsavers Apprenticeship Programme which provides young people with recognised qualifications and a career.’ says Mr Taylor.
